Sew-free & bonding
Panels, pockets and trims joined with adhesive film and laser-cut edges instead of stitching — fewer needle holes, flatter construction.
How it works
Sew-free construction joins panels, pockets and trims with adhesive film and laser-cut edges instead of stitching. It removes needle holes, flattens the construction and opens up shapes that would be difficult to sew cleanly.
- Laser cutting
Panels, pockets and overlays are laser cut, giving a sealed edge that will not fray.
- Film placement
Adhesive film is positioned between the parts to be joined.
- Bonding
Heat and pressure are applied on bonding equipment to form the join.
- Overlay and finishing
Overlay tape, reflective print, patches and branding are bonded in the same way.
Applications
- Bonded pockets and patch pockets
- Laser-cut overlays and reflective detail
- Cordura knee and seat patches
- Bonded leg snow gaiters
- Bonded labels and brand logos
Advantages
- No needle holes through the shell fabric
- Flatter, cleaner construction against the body
- Edges sealed by the laser cut
- Decoration and reinforcement applied without stitching
